JPMorgan Chase made $483 million in after-tax profits from crook Bernie Madoff's accounts.
That's the estimate in a recently released paper done by Dr. Linus Wilson of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
It's only an estimate, but Wilson says Madoff at one point had $5.5 billion in various Chase accounts over a 16-year period.
Dr. Wilson is inviting litigants and prosecutors to view his work in anticipation of lawsuits coming out of the Madoff affair.
