Hello - instead of rehashing I'll just paste the email I just sent to Jamie Dimon. I'm quite sure he won't give a rat's a$$, but needed to do it.
Mr. Dimon,
My daughter, Caitlin Sperry (acct #) is currently in Greece with 20 euros to her name. Her purse was stolen on Monday, February 15, 2010. She called me within minutes of the incident and I contacted Chase to cancel her debit card. I was told that a replacement card could not be sent directly to her in Greece, but could be expedited to her home address in GA. It was to arrive yesterday, Thursday, February 18, 2010. It did not arrive yesterday nor did it arrive today. I called Telephone Banking and was informed a mistake was made and it was not sent express. I asked to speak to a supervisor, waited for about 4 minutes and was then connected to Internet Banking.
Really?
We inherited Chase from WAMU and am not very impressed yet. My daughter has virtually no money right now and is half a world away. I was not offered any solutions except to wait for the snail mail to bring her card. Can she wire herself some money from her own account? I explained to each person I've spoken to since Monday that she is overseas with no money. Can you provide a solution? I am very frustrated and WORRIED.
I would appreciate some assistance.

****UPDATE****
Within about 30 minutes of my 1st post I received a call from Chase. Apologies were given and there's a solution, but it could have happened 5 days ago and my daughter would have rec'd her money soon. As it is she won't have any for the weekend. I'm surprised I got an answer so quickly. Bottom line - it should not have happened in the first place. |
